Journey to the Cloud: The Ontario Telemedicine Network

The Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN), now part of the telehealth division of Ontario Health, is the largest telemedicine network in Canada used by physicians, allied HCS, healthcare organizations, patients, and families. OTN was able to scale their reach by choosing a cloud first-strategy and deciding to build a next-generation video network on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud.

In this webinar, Alex Reidiboim, lead solutions architect responsible for the OTN’s innovation and cloud implementation, will discuss OTN’s cloud architecture and how they were able to scale a sudden 4,000% deluge of telehealth demand and combat increased security threats as a result of COVID-19.

Join to learn how healthcare organizations can:

  • Leverage AWS to remain highly available, fault tolerant, and maintain the same service levels
  • Autoscale on demand with minimal intervention and handle significant peaks in traffic and growth
  • Experience little or no downtime during maintenance

In addition, Neil McFarlane, senior solutions architect, Healthcare and Life Science at AWS, will be supporting Alex in answering your questions regarding AWS services used by OTN and other healthcare customers in Canada.

This webinar is in partnership with Digital Health Canada.
