Cyber Warfare Europe 2011

As part of the internationally recognised Cyber Conference series, Defence IQ is pleased to announce we are now planning Cyber Warfare Europe 2011.

Building on the great success of our last event in London, (during which over 150 senior officers, government staff and leading industry contractors from 21 nations gathered to discuss the latest cyber issues), this meeting will focus specifically on the challenges, strategies and solutions facing smaller European militaries and governments as they formulate national strategies to keep their defensive and offensive cyber capabilities up to date and in-line with the international community.

Attending Cyber Warfare Europe 2011 Will Allow You To:

  • Hear and meet senior European military officers responsible for newly announced cyber strategies including the Head of Cyber Security at the German MoD and Deputy Director of Cyber Defence for the Swiss Department of Defence.
  • Keep informed of the real cyber threats facing military networks, methods of attack and denial by leading practitioners. PLUS Check out the post-conference seminar on the Chinese Cyber Threat with the US Marine Corps
  • Understand global developments in cyber warfare; with presentations on building a ‘cyber force,’ civil – military cyber coordination and coordination efforts, clarifying the current legal status of cyber operations and the emerging ‘rules of engagement’ for cyber warfare practitioners. SEE our pre-conference workshop on ‘Building the Cyber Force.’

Key areas of focus will include:

  • Latest methods for network security, analysis and intruder identification
  • Gathering actionable threat intelligence to anticipate and prevent future attacks
  • Achieving the pragmatic management of cyber operations across the military and private sectors
  • Establishing greater legal clarity for cyber operations and rules of engagement for future cyber conflicts
  • How to build effective international cyber crisis response capabilities
  • Strategies to shift the cyber defence doctrine from reactive to proactive
  • Analysing the trend of ‘going cloud’ within the public and military sectors and managing the inherent risks associated with this
  • Ensuring effective and secure recruitment and training of the next generation of cyber warriors

If you are interested in speaking on the above topics, nominating other areas of interest or would like to sponsor the event, please contact us at defence@iqpc.co.uk
