Critical Thinking and Problem Solving for Effective Decision Making

This webinar by Dr. Jeff Fox is for every public safety professional. The purpose of this webinar is to help attendees recognize and practice critical thinking skills.

Critical thinking skills will enhance and hone decision-making during tactical and administrative activities. Critical thinking is the intellectually disciplined process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing and/or evaluating information gathered from, or generated by, observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication, as a guide to belief and action.

Dr. Fox will examine the design, implementation and evaluation of problem-solving techniques. Attendees will explore how viable problem-solving alternatives are generated and put into practice. Students will examine the link between problem-solving and decision-making.
