Beginning with the “Arab Spring” in 2011, the transition of the Middle East and North Africa is as significant during this decade as was the transition of the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe during the 1990s.

The opportunities to help empower the successful political and economic transition of a major part of the world are enormous.

With this in mind, we are pleased to invite you to participate in the Middle East & North Africa Economic Summit, scheduled on September 26, 2011, just after the IMF meeting in Washington and the UN General Assembly meeting in New York.

Join U.S. and multilateral agencies, leaders from governments in the Middle East and North Africa, investors, business executives, and nonprofit leaders and receive the latest details on:

* How more than $30 billion in unfrozen Libyan assets will be used to develop Libya.

* Billions of dollars in new infrastructure projects in Egypt, including projects in energy, communications, agriculture, and transportation.

* $800 billion for new infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia.

* $6 billion from The World Bank for Egypt and Tunisia, including investment lending for specific projects, financing for private businesses, and public infrastructure development.

* $3 billion to be used by the Overseas Private Investment Corporation to support private investment across the region.

* Jordan and Turkey as gateways for doing business in the Middle East & North Africa.

* New business opportunities in the Gulf, including Qatar, UAE, and Oman.
