Government IPv6: Enabling Next-Generation Agency Operations Conference & Expo

The Administration has issued a directive requiring all U.S. government agencies to upgrade their public-facing Web sites and services to support IPv6 by September 30, 2012.

There have been plenty of starts and stops in implementing this next generation Internet address operation.  And with this deadline quickly approaching, many federal agencies are still looking for guidance on what to do, how quickly to do it, and the business case for doing so.

According to a recent analysis of government websites, only nine of 1,761 federal Web domains examined were meeting the IPv6 standard, as reported by Government Technology.  Agencies are taking many steps to ready federal websites to make the transition to IPv6 next year, but much more needs to be done.

Participate in DGI's 5th annual IPv6 Conference – which is free for government professionals – to learn about:

  • Government best practices and lessons learned through their IPv6 transition
  • Real operational applications and solutions powered by the next generation internet
  • How IPv6 is currently being used to improve government operations
  • Actions agency professionals need to take to make the most of the IPv6 transition
  • Technology applications available for successful IPv6 implementation
