2012 AETC Symposium

AETC’s symposium is an annual event that offers 3,500+ attendees a multitude of venues to learn about the current and future environments of recruiting, training, and educating Airmen, along with operational and emerging topics and issues.  Information is offered through two keynote speaker luncheons and 100+ individual breakout sessions/seminars organized by topic tracks.  Additionally, the Alamo Chapter of the Air Force Association hosts an Exposition Hall offering 120+ military, industry, and education exhibitors and vendors displaying leading edge capabilities and information. 

Theme:  The theme for the Symposium is “Develop America’s Airmen Today…for Tomorrow”.

AETC Banquet:  Friday, 13 January 2012, Texas Ballroom, Grand Hyatt Hotel; 1800 Hours cocktails; 1900 dinner.  The keynote speaker is TBD.  There will be a special recognition to honor AETC Warriors under the Theme: Honor our Heroes, part II.  The Banquet is an optional event and a separate part of the overall symposium.  It requires a separate $80 fee that is NOT reimbursable on the travel voucher.  Do not use the Gov’t Travel Card to pay for the banquet since this is considered an event and not a meal.

Attendance:  We expect 3,500+ attendees, mostly from AETC units, but with attendance from other USAF and military units, Guard, Reserve, industry, commercial, education, private sector, and international partners.   AETC-funded attendees may include, officer, enlisted, and APF-funded civil servant civilians (does not include NAF employees).  See rules below for contractors.
