The past year has highlighted the importance of a nimble tax function that, whether remote or in person, can operate seamlessly with tight controls, streamlined data integrity, and collaborate and communicate effectively, unhindered by physical location. TEI’s third annual tax technology seminar, taking place April 27-29, 2021, will directly address this pressing need.
The 2021 Virtual Tax Technology Seminar will survey the strategy, trends, and tools in technology and automation to elevate the tax function – including the sophisticated processing of data, ranging from ETL and data automation tools to tools that address processes for specific topics, and redefining where and how collaboration happens in digital inclusive workspaces.
Participants will learn about developments in tax technology and automation relevant to tax professionals facing a landscape of evolving markets, complex operations, and rapid business changes. Just as business adapts to a changing marketplace, tax must adapt to the changing business model. An existing technology roadmap has to be tweaked and adapted, small automation can fill in where IT resources may be scarce. These and other topics will be addressed in the important discussion regarding the evolution of tax technology, which has never been more relevant as companies prepare for the future.
TEI’s 2021 Virtual Tax Technology Seminar has been designed to facilitate the interactivity, engagement, and networking opportunities that made its 2019 and 2020 seminars a resounding success. Sessions will take place in multiple formats, including live streams, group meetings, and breakout discussion groups, and will be supported with group chats and discussion forums. TEI’s 2021 Virtual Tax Technology Seminar will also feature an interactive exhibit hall to learn about new technology tools, as well as member-only fireside chats to share best practices and pitfalls faced by in-house tax professionals. These opportunities will provide participants invaluable networking experiences with tax professionals embarking upon or well-underway on their technology journey.
