Shaping Privacy Policy and Legislation in Higher Education
This webinar is a part of the EDUCAUSE Industry & Campus Solutions series.
As higher education emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic, universities and colleges have a complex balancing act ahead. Not only must institutions assess the future of their workforce, the changing university business model, and domestic and global enrollment challenges; they must also evaluate data privacy and security within that dynamic environment. As new and varied privacy laws emerge, IT and data privacy leaders are tasked with interpreting them and identifying common ground for all stakeholders. These leaders have the opportunity to analyze and collect insights and shape and inform effective practices that lead to more uniform data privacy policies within the current shifting landscape of higher education.
This panel discussion explores opportunities for IT and data privacy leaders to unite behind priorities, assess trends, and determine how forthcoming state and federal laws benefit students, staff, and administrators alike.
