Leading Through Transition

The next year will be pivotal in the United States' long campaign in Afghanistan, as we draw down forces and turn over vital security functions to Afghan authorities. One key to success is building modern Afghan army, air and police forces - a major undertaking that many would say is vital to our own national security and the future of the region. With a budget of more than $10 billion, Maj. Gen. Peter Fuller has been tasked with building, training and equipping 352,000 Afghan National Security Forces by November 2012.

Join Government Executive for a special Leadership Briefing to hear from Gen. Fuller as he grapples with the ultimate leadership challenge.

 Speaker:

MAJ. GEN. PETER FULLER, Deputy Commanding General for Programs, Combined Security Transition Command Afghanistan, Department of Defense

 Moderated by:

TIM CLARK, Editor at Large, Government Executive
