NSA Acquisition/Industry Partnership Exchange (NAIPE)

The NSA Office of Small Business Programs, in conjunction with the Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association (AFCEA) Central Maryland Chapter, announces the third Annual NSA Acquisition/Industry Partnership Exchange (NAIPE) on November 29, 2011. NAIPE will be held at the Marriott Inn & Conference Center at the University of Maryland University College in Hyattsville, Maryland. The conference is unclassified, but attendees must be from companies actively working/under contract with NSA. Please note that NAIPE is not a business development effort.

NAIPE is designed to give NSA industry contractors the opportunity to meet with representatives from select Agency organizations to discuss issues they are experiencing while doing business with the Agency. The event consists of informative breakout sessions and presentations by: John C. (Chris) Inglis, Deputy Director, NSA, Jennifer S. Walsmith, Senior Acquisition Executive, NSA Directorate of Acquisition, and Gregory W. Starkey, Technical Director, Signals Intelligence Directorate. This year, in addition to topical breakout sessions, we will include sessions for each NSA Program Executive Office during which PEO leadership will provide acquisition updates and question and answer periods. Breakout session topics/organizations include:

  1. Acquisition Resource Center
  2. Collection and Operations PEO
  3. Contracting
  4. Contractor Clearances/Security
  5. Directorate of Acquisition — Senior Acquisition Executive
  6. Defense Information Systems Agency
  7. Enterprise Management PEO
  8. Information Technology PEO
  9. Installation and Logistics PEO
  10. Mission Management and Analysis Production PEO
  11. Protect PEO
  12. Research Transformation

Each breakout session will consist of a presentation and question and answer period. We encourage attendees to come prepared with questions for the panelists to ensure the exchange is enlightening and beneficial for both NSA and Industry. Questions may not be company-specific (e.g., Why didn’t my firm win XYZ award?), but rather address overarching issues that many of our Industry partners might be experiencing (e.g., How important is past-performance when considering contracting awards?).

Attendees will have the opportunity to attend four of the twelve sessions, and two individuals per company will be permitted to attend. Registration is first-come, first-served. All companies in attendance must be actively working on an NSA contract, and will be required to provide a valid contract number at the time of registration. (A PISA MOU does not qualify as a contract.)

Breakfast, lunch, breaks and a networking social will be included with each registration.
