Speaker and Presenter Information

Dr. Jonathan Patz is President of the International Association for Ecology and Health, and Past Co-Chair on the Health Expert Panel of the U.S. National Assessment on Climate Change. Dr. Patz shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize as a lead author of United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. He also shared the Zayed International Prize for the Environment in 2006, and was awarded the Aldo Leopold Leadership Fellow Award in 2005, and the UW-Madison Romnes Faculty Fellow in 2009. In addition to writing more than 90 peer-reviewed papers and a textbook addressing the health effects of global environmental change, Dr. Patz has been invited to brief both houses of Congress, and served on several scientific committees of the National Academy of Sciences.
