CDE21 Cisco K12 Roundtable

The fall 2021 return to school will be unlike any other K-12 institutions have experienced. The 2020 school year taught us all that different learning models can work, and in some cases are preferable to traditional on-site instruction. How will the tech stack in schools reflect these learning models?

At the same time, K-12 institutions have new funding streams at their disposal, including the CARES Act and the American Rescue Plan. Schools have avenues to explore technologies that are within reach.

The Center for Digital Education is convening a virtual roundtable with a select group of decision-makers in K-12 education institutions to discuss smart and connected technology K-12 leaders should consider as they look to improve learning, increase both physical and cybersecurity, and revamp their facilities to be safer and more energy efficient. We invite you to join us for this digital event on July 20th at 11am Pacific/2pm Eastern. This off-the-record conversation will be a chance to share lessons learned, discuss opportunities moving forward and collaborate with your peers on ideas.

Central discussion themes will focus on:

  • How learning models are driving technology needs
  • What technologies can improve the physical and cybersecurity of K-12 campuses
  • How technology can be supported by new funding streams

We have also asked one of our partners, Cisco, to join us in the discussion. Their role will be to share their thoughts and relay what they are hearing from their education clients as they work to support schools in these new environments.
