Intelligence at the Edge: Technologies for Mission Success

Due to current inefficient legacy databases, the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) are forced to use outdated data to inform mission-critical decisions. They remedy this by turning to database services, which offer a high degree of reliability and security to manage the explosive growth data from both the field as well as the internet of things (IoT). Agencies have also turned to cloud services to assist them, using new capabilities – namely artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) – to quickly and securely copy, transfer, store, and access their data at the tactical edge. However, under this cloud-native approach, both the DoD and IC require a proactive, risk-adaptive strategy delivered through a platform that understands both the users and data. This digital summit, hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS), will provide solutions the DoD and IC can use to accelerate the migration of old, costly legacy databases, while also utilizing systems that allow them to rapidly scale and execute mission-critical objectives.
