USEUCOM i3T Conference and Exposition

The United States European Command (USEUCOM) Director of Intelligence invites you to participate in the third annual Information, Innovation, Integration, and Technology (i3T) Conference and Exposition, 13–16 February 2012 to foster information sharing and collaboration between the United States, Partner Nations, and private industry. This will be an unclassified event, located in Munich, Germany. This event will bring together military and intelligence professionals, academia, and private industry to build new relationships, discuss future challenges, and discuss how best to re-focus European intelligence on global security and stability.

Presentations will include challenges to developing technology, future analysis as it discerns risks and opportunities in the European operational environment, the execution of solutions to mitigate or avail issues with U.S. and multinational partners, and demonstrations of advanced technology pertinent to facilitating and/or enabling security and stability.

Areas for Discussion Include

• Deliberate planning for information systems integration amongst partners.
• Multinational cooperation in the cyber environment.
• Enabling biometrics information sharing.
• Futures analysis and trends assessment.
• Stronger Together: Solving problems through partnering.

Event Deliverables: Plenary sessions, expert panels, and breakout sessions geared towards future capabilities, capacities and competencies, partner-nation integration and cooperation, and efficient and effective management of ever-expanding mission requirements in a time of fiscal constraint. In addition to the focus areas above, breakout sessions could include:

• The assessment of technology capabilities related to collaboration with U.S. agencies and partner nations.
• The identification of existing capabilities to enhance or enable integrated theater information sharing and collaboration (networks, systems, and architectures).
• The development/re-development, integration, and fielding of information and knowledge sharing capabilities.
• The open discussion of future non-traditional intelligence capabilities, capacities, and competencies (i.e., analysis of socio-cultural risks and opportunities, the influence of social networking on future socio-cultural norms).
• Discussions on cyber issues, to include: cyber defense information sharing, cyberspace policy, and risks of operating in the cyber domain.
• Development of policy, systems, agreements, and architecture to support current and future biometric activities with partner nations, allies and coalition.
• Building better relationships between global industry and government entities across the European global intelligence apparatus.
