Gilbert and Hadley's Top 10 List: Key Legal Lessons for the Federal EEO Practitioner
Known equally well for their engaging presentation style and their expertise, Ernest Hadley and Gary Gilbert will bring EEO case law to life in 90 fast-paced minutes.
These two noted authorities will spotlight important lessons from federal EEO cases over the past year and predict the hot issues to be decided in 2012 – breaking it all down into what you need to know to do your job now and preparing you for what’s headed your way in the near future.
You’ll learn about crucial trends and how they will impact your day-to-day work:
- The EEOC's new ADAAA regulations and guidance, plus how the MSPB wobbled in addressing its first ADAAA case
- Retaliation, the top federal-sector complaint, along with the Supreme Court’s and EEOC's continued expansion of the retaliation provision
- The fate of federal-sector reform — is the current process going to stay?
Plus, Gilbert and Hadley will turn this valuable knowledge into usable guidance to:
- Fashion telecommuting agreements that effectively monitor work performance and conduct of offsite employees
- Educate managers and supervisors on what constitutes prohibited retaliation
- Take action against an employee on the basis of a medical condition without violating the ADAAA
- Make decisions within the parameters of the "regarded as" prong of the disability definition
- And more you don’t want to miss!
