The Cybersecurity Workforce: Preparing Agencies for Advancing Threats
The Cybersecurity Workforce: Preparing Agencies for Advancing Threats
Tuesday, December 13, 2011
2:00 PM EST
The federal government needs thousands of additional cybersecurity specialists to secure American networks, by some estimates. How is your agency contributing?
Amidst dwindling resources, agencies are bracing for increasingly complex, constantly evolving cyber threats. But a human capital crisis is emerging. Federal agencies have started to educate their users to prevent internal breaches but may not have the capabilities to defend against advancing threats. How can agencies recruit cyber specialists and what role should federal managers play in defending precious systems and information?
Join The Government Business Council, the research division of Government Executive, to hear the results of a recent survey of federal managers and to learn:
- How agencies can strengthen their cyber defense capacity
- The level of understanding among federal managers of each employee’s responsibilities for defending against cyber threats
- What you can to better enable a cybersecurity workforce.
