About USPACOM:
USPACOM is one of six Unified Combatant Commands of the United States Armed Forces. Commander, U.S. Pacific Command (CDRUSPACOM) is the senior U.S. military authority in the Pacific Command area of responsibilities. The CDRUSPACOM reports to the President of the United States through the Secretary of Defense and is supported by four component commands: U.S. Pacific Fleet, U.S. Pacific Air Forces, U.S. Army Pacific, and U.S. Marine Forces, Pacific. These commands are headquartered in Hawaii and have forces stationed and deployed throughout the region.
PACOM J6 is the main IT component at Camp Smith. The mission of PACOM J6 is to provide integrated theater C4 capabilities to the Pacific Command in cooperation with its regional military partners through network operations, operational planning, and coalition interoperability.
The counterpart to USPACOM J6 on the Marine side at Camp Smith is the G6. The G6 plans, directs and coordinates the training, staffing and equipping of Marines to augment and reinforce MarForPac with C4 capabilities. Evaluate and enhance the operational C4 readiness of MARFORPAC through the efficient/effective management of G6 resources.
