Why DC Water and the City of Lincoln/Lancaster County Turned to Cloud to Create a Platform for Continuous Innovation and Growth

With 681,000 residential customers in 725 square miles, DC Water holds a big responsibility to provide water and wastewater services to its community. They were looking for a full platform based upon best practices to better manage the sourcing, procurement and other back-office functions so they could focus more time on driving innovation and meeting resident needs.

Similarly, the City of Lincoln/Lancaster County needed to bring efficiencies to its Human Resources processes so it could focus more of its time on the needs of the more than 3,000 employees, represented by 6 different unions, that it serves.

On Nov. 3 at 11am PT/2pm ET, DC Water and City of Lincoln/Lancaster County are joining Government Technology to discuss how a move to the cloud provided their agencies with a platform for continuous innovation and growth. Register for this hour-long webcast to hear more about:

  • What drove these organizations to the cloud and what they looked for in a cloud solution
  • Some of the hurdles they faced and the lessons learned
  • How the cloud has helped these organizations transform internal and external processes
  • How they have been able to drive innovation and adapt post go-live

Tune in to hear how cloud can provide a platform that offers the security, flexibility and scalability needed to take your agency into the future.
