Implications of New Zero Trust Guidance for Federal Agencies

This event qualifies for 1 CPEs

The release of Executive Order (EO) 14028 in May made it clear that identity and security professionals must prepare themselves for fundamental changes in how their programs operate. As we get to the end of 2021, we are getting further clarity on what those changes might look like.

Most recently, this has come from new guidance drafted by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA): a Federal Zero Trust Strategy, Zero Trust Maturity Model, and Cloud Security Technical Reference Architecture.

Join Ross Foard, CISA's ICAM SME and Engineer, and Matt Topper, UberEther's President, as they discuss:

  • The current status of OMB and CISA's guidance and potential implications
  • CISA's next steps to support identity and access management (IAM) through the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Program as related to the EO
  • The types of authenticators and standards agencies should be looking to in order to enable Zero Trust
