Cryogenic Engineering and Safety 40th Annual 5-Day Summer Course



CRYOCO's most comprehensive course. Teaches the fundamentals of cryogenics and safety for a comprehensive competence in this field. Taught by working Subject Matter Experts and Professional Engineers.  Designed for a solid foundation for engineering design, cryogenic operators, technicians and all cryogenic users to work safely and effectively in cryogenic applications. 

Speaker and Presenter Information

David-John Roth has owned CRYOCO for 21 years. He works at The Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida as a Subject Matter Expert in Cryogencis and Mechanical Engineer, Level VI. He is available upon request throughout the year for on-site cryogenic courses.
 

Serving on the Space Launch System Project at KSC as an employee of Jacobs TOSC in the Fluids and Propellants Division, Roth's work encompasses: the design of cryogenic systems and components, creation of technical drawings, review of drawings, component and assembly drawings, identification, selection and specification of cryogenic valves and components, manufacturers bids and reviews for technical merit, and selects the manufacturers for those projects. Roth also acts as the technical representative from inception to completion of those engineering projects in all technical oversight and administrative aspects. 

 

Roth performs cryogenic fluid design as well, including oxygen compatibility analysis and other technical assessments. He works on testing and installation of these systems at KSC and other NASA, Department of Defense and commercial launch systems and space programs. 
 

His current projects include: ML1-Artemis I, ML2 - Artemis  II, the entire KSC LH2 and LO2 propellant ground system, the Launch Equipment Test Facility, and other technical duties such as Pressure Systems Verification and compliance. 

 

His former employers include: Cryoco Inc, Ball Aerospace, Redstone Aerospace, Stinger-Ghafarrian Technologies, Kellogg-Brown and Root.
