New Lighting Technologies



New Lighting Technologies is the first of seven trainings scheduled on the first Thursday of each month from February through August 2012.*

Understand the uses and benefits of spectrally enhanced lighting (SEL) and solid-state lighting (SSL). Learn the best deployment opportunities, correct applications, project examples, and measurement and verification protocals.

Learn how to:

  • Select optimal lighting solutions based on quality baseline data and application-based alternatives
  • Calculate life-cycle costs and determine design and installation feasibility options
  • Measure lighting project savings and verify the benefits of your decisions
  • Use DOE and industry resources to support speifications and facilitat your work.

First Thursday Seminars air from 1:30 to 3:00 PM EST and can be accessed in the following ways:

  1. Live streaming video available on the day of the event over the internet to a desktop computer or via a projection system in a conference room;
  2. Digital and Analog Satellite downlink transmission provided through the Government Education network (GETN) for classroom environments; and
  3. Archived streaming video available after the event 24/7 on the DOE FEMP website.

 

*July's seminar will be aired on July 12 due to the July 4 holiday.
