Harassment Free: Strategies to Prevent and Correct Troublesome Situations in Your Agency
Workplace harassment is one of the biggest EEO concerns for federal agencies, and failing to address it brings on a host of problems: low morale, distracted employees and costly EEO complaints.
Don’t let this happen at your agency! Keep your workplace harassment free with guidance from experienced trainer and HR consultant Arthur Matthews. In 90 minutes, you’ll gain insights on how to recognize situations that constitute harassment – or that could lead to it – as well as strategies to address the problems head-on.
Along with the legal definitions of the various forms of harassment, you’ll discover:
- The myths and realities of workplace harassment
- Rules of engagement for addressing harassing situations
- The top 6 strategies for being a leader in the harassment arena, including developing a team of "change facilitators" who address harassment at the point of contact, and developing a "Continuous Readiness Assessment" for responding to incidents
Plus, you’ll keep employees motivated – and keep your agency out of trouble with the EEOC – by learning how to:
- Actively work towards recognizing, correcting and preventing harassing behavior
- Implement an 8-step harassment-free strategy
- Dissect the nuances of harassment language to address it more effectively
- View a harassing environment not as a problem, but as a situation that requires a solution
- And more!
