The Spring 2022 DoD/VA & Government HIT Summit is designed as a non-partisan, educational & training “Town-Hall-style” Summit that offers a full-spectrum view towards the DoD, VA, and Federal’s efforts to provide Veterans/Active-Duty high-quality outcomes & healthcare solutions, through a single, unified, & interoperable health IT approach. This Summit will examine current initiatives across the VA to improve customer service delivered to the Veteran, from fielding innovative commercial technologies, to refining governance & management structures to continually improve the quality of care.

  • Leading VA’s initiatives toward refining EHR governance & management structures to establish additional rigor/oversight
  • Modernizing the VA’s EHR system using innovative commercial solutions that will improve the delivery of quality health care to Veterans

Why You Should Attend this Summit

According to the FY 22 bill, $2.6 billion is marked for continued implementation of the new digital medical records system, which is $10 million more than it received in FY 2021. The Spring 2022 DoD/VA & Government HIT Summit is designed as a non-partisan, educational & training “Town-Hall-style” Summit that offers a full-spectrum view towards the DoD, VA, and Federal’s efforts to provide Veterans/Active-Duty high-quality outcomes & healthcare solutions, through a single, unified, & interoperable health IT approach. This Summit will examine current initiatives across the VA to improve customer service delivered to the Veteran, from fielding innovative commercial technologies, to refining governance & management structures to continually improve the quality of care. This event will also offer attendees insight into current ways the DHA is providing timely, affordable, measurable improvements to medical readiness capabilities for the Joint Force.


The forum is created to encourage a real, pragmatic level of discussion and debate amongst all in attendance. Attendees at this event will have the chance to hear senior leaders discuss key acquisition priorities being implemented to keep pace with the speed of innovation, advancing telehealth programs /virtual health capabilities, & also, efforts toward creating enterprise standards across the Military Health System (MHS) that will transform healthcare delivery & business operations. Finally, a panel at this event will feature key senior level VA executives, who will detail the VA strategic vision toward integrating a new EHR system that will enhance the provider experience & promote interoperability amongst the DoD, Commercial care providers, and across all VA facilities.
