Shared Services Summit 2022

Shared services is a business model for modernizing the delivery of mission support activities common to multiple government agencies.  It involves setting standards for service delivery that meet the needs of multiple customer agencies and migrating agencies to modern, scalable and secure platforms operated by best of breed government or industry service providers.  Managing organizational change and creating positive customer experiences are core challenges in making shared services work. 

Shared services transformation has been underway in the Federal Government for several decades, but progress has been slow and discontinuous.  In the past few years, large numbers of government and industry leaders have come together to form a community to network, exchange leading practices and create a movement to enable more rapid and effective shared services transformation. 

The Shared Services Summit is the “must attend” annual event for the government-industry shared services community.  This Summit is now in it's sixth year and is produced in partnership between ACT-IAC and the Shared Services Leadership Coalition (SSLC).  Participants will hear about and discuss the Biden Administration’s plans for shared services, successful implementation approaches from other sectors of government, and effective ways of accelerating progress through public-private partnerships and creative financing. 

OBJECTIVES:

• Clearer understanding of President Biden's goals and dirctions as it relates to Shared Services in 2022 and beyond
• Updates and recommendations from eight government round tables on eight separate Shared Services-related topics
• Better understanding of where the QSMO marketplace is heading
  
• Learn what other agencies (state/local) are doing on Shared Services
  
• Understand the value and benefit of public/private partnerships
  
• Learn how your firm can support this initiative
