Health Innovation Summit 2022

This event qualifies for 8 CLPs

This Summit is now in it’s fifth year and is produced in partnership between ACT-IAC and the HIMSS NCA Chapter.

With transitions occurring in healthcare, are you wondering what changes are being planned for the future, in 2022, 2025, 2030 and beyond?  Healthcare landscape is ever-changing.  From the many articles written, healthcare in the next five to ten years will be delivered through integrated ecosystems that include updated policies, access to care, advanced technologies or digital platforms, offering patients and providers a seamless care experience.  Technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and analytics will better predict healthcare risks, encourage prevention and proactive interventions.  Successful platforms will be built for data sharing, interoperability, inclusivity, and much more.  Trusted partnerships will be developed to share views on value exchanges.  And finally, it is predicted that the health system will transition from treatment-based reactionary care to prevention and well-being.

However, in the interim, resiliency must be maintained to address unexpected scenarios that can impact operational or financial continuity, or to overcome security breaches by finding and exploiting vulnerabilities, or addressing supply chain issues, inventory management, and procurement backlogs and of course addressing equity and diversity concerns.

This Summit will provide government, industry, academia, and the healthcare system as a whole, a future view on healthcare transformation that includes new emerging technologies and innovation, overcoming existing obstacles to include the prevalence of fraud, furthering data sharing and interoperability and hearing about what needs to be changed.

Objectives:

  • Learn strategies that government agencies could develop now to prepare for the digital future of healthcare
  • Hear how to mitigate outsider threats before they emerge
  • Understand what is driving the changes in the healthcare system
  • Hear from government and industry on the predictions for 2025, 2030, and beyond
  • Hear from lessons learned how new technologies have become the stepping stones to the future of healthcare
