NGACO Annual Conference and Military Ball

Mark your calendars for the 2012 NGACO State Conference featuring the Military Ball, 30 Mar-1 Apr at the Westin Hotel in Westminster.

Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday morning will be the National Guard Association of Colorado Conference.  This is your three day opportunity to discuss and vote on the legislative issues that affect you and your National Guard career. 

*****A prominent sports figure from the Denver area will be in attendance on Friday night during the NGACO ice breaker. ******

This year's ball is hosted by the Adjutant General of the Colorado National Guard, Maj. Gen. H. Michael Edwards and is sponsored by the NGACO.  The ball on the evening of March 31st will commemorate Colorado's involvement in the Civil War and the battle of Glorieta Pass.  This year's keynote speaker is notable Colorado Author Flint Whitlock.  He has written several books about the Colorado National Guard's history.  Click the following link to find out more about him: www.flintwhitlock.com

Flint Whitlock will be available for book signing.  There will also be books available for purchase at the conference.

Prominent State and National leaders will be on hand to speak Saturday during the conference.

The uniform for Military Ball attendees is mess dress or ASU/Class A/Service Dress equivalent for Semi-formal dress.  Civilian attire for the ball is Business Formal.  The uniform for the NGACO business sessions is Colorado Business Casual.

A professional photographer will be on site at the ball to capture old time portraits to commemorate this event.

$1.50 from each ticket sale will be donated to the Colorado Military History Center to help fund further Glorieta Pass research.
