SBA's Revised Rules and the Jobs Act - A Look at the Landscape, One Year Later Seminar

SBA’s Revised Rules and the Jobs Act - A Look at the Landscape for Small Business,   One Year Later Seminar

With featured speaker John Klein of the Small Business Administration

Sponsored by: PilieroMazza PLLC, Dixon Hughes Goodman, LLP and Sandy Spring Bank

Just over one year ago, two major shifts in the landscape occurred for small business.  First in late 2010, President Obama signed into law the Small Business Jobs Act, requiring the SBA to initiate almost a dozen rulemakings on issues such as Mentor-Protégé Programs, subcontracting with small businesses, misrepresentations for “false” certifications and set-asides for small   businesses on MACs and GSA schedules.  Then in February of 2011, the SBA issued its first major regulatory revisions in ten years including changes to the regulations governing size matters, the Section 8(a) Program, joint ventures and the Mentor-Protégé Program.

We are pleased to ask you to join John Klein, SBA's Associate General Counsel for Procurement and the principal author of the new regulations, along with hosts, Frank Merendino of Sandy Spring Bank, Gregg Funkhouser of Dixon Hughes Goodman and Pam Mazza of PilieroMazza for a practical discussion of how the new law and regulations are being implemented and ways in which you can position your business to best utilize the new regulations while playing by the rules.
