Base Infrastructure Modernization Industry Day 1

The DAF Base Infrastructure Modernization effort spearheaded by AFLCMC/HNI involves modernizing all Air Force base locations across the globe. The purpose is to address the deteriorated state of the DAF’s network infrastructure within the base boundary.

Who should attend?
Vendors that can provide wired telecommunications services and data communications equipment that are applicable to securing or establishing a modern network infrastructure at any given base, and DAF representatives. Vendors should be capable of modernization and operations of (NIPR) and (SIPR). Due to the volume of vendors that may be applicable for this effort, upon registration vendors will be asked to limit the number of representatives to three (3). At least one (1) representative should be technically savvy and have a firm understanding of the direction of both Industry and DoD policy. Industry Day Goals:

• To ensure synergy between the DAF and Industry representatives
• Communicate interoperability and open standards
• Communicate program requirements and schedule
• Gain a better understanding of recent industry developments
• Provide updates to Industry on future program developments and acquisitions
• Introduce threshold Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Industry Day Preparations:
Should a vendor have preliminary questions we request those be submitted in one word document with your company letterhead. These questions will be amalgamated, and DAF representatives will make every effort to answer them during this industry day. In addition, during the Industry Day, should you ask a question verbally also type it in the teleconference chat. This will help the Government keep a record of your question to provide to other participants.
