What to Know About Edmonton Police Services Human Centered Engagement & Liaison Partnership Program

Over the last two years the Edmonton Police Service has developed a multi-agency team, with interdisciplinary professionals to offramp high social disorder and vulnerable persons from the Justice system into appropriate social supports, reducing police involvement and improving community safety and wellbeing.

The Edmonton police has partnered with many inner-city social agencies who provide navigators that work alongside police officers to connect individuals to supports, reducing calls for service for police and increasing the quality of life for many of those in poverty or experiencing homelessness.

• Participants will learn about the Human Centered approach and how it relates to case management for complex individuals.
