FCW Workshop: Workforce

This event qualifies for 4 CPEs

The work world has turned upside down and back again in the last two years, as the federal and commercial workforce adapted to the shifting pandemic environment. Remote work, cybersecurity, modernizing IT environments from cloud to Zero Trust, and changing job requirements, have all had significant effects on the federal workplace.

Agencies face a list of priorities from fostering agile workplace environments, enhancing customer experiences, developing and recruiting workforce, and leveraging data as a strategic asset, as well as new technologies.

In this workshop, attendees will come away with an improved understanding of:

  • New technologies and IT Modernization—how can agencies help their employees adapt to both
  • How automation can speed the government hiring process and new horizons for automated hiring systems
  • Progress and results from reskilling efforts in cyber and data specialties
  • How data can aid current efforts to map the government’s future workforce needs
  • Changing cybersecurity workforce
  • Developing more customer-focused environments and mindset
  • Roadmaps from successful agency programs
