More than 737 million subscribers now are connected to next-generation 5G mobile services in 72 countries, data from GSMA Intelligence showed. Monthly data usage has jumped nearly threefold compared with LTE networks.

But given the amount of data operators have enabled with speedy new networks, some are now looking to 5G-Advanced to keep up with the soaring demand they’ve created.
