Industry Day - Contractor Kit Installation (CKI) of the Combined Block 7.0/8.1 Modification to the United States Government (USG) C-130 Fleet



The United States Air Force (USAF) will hold a virtual Industry Day on Thursday, 5 January 2023, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. EST with Attendee check-in starting at 8:30 a.m. EST; and ending at 9:00 a.m. EST. The purpose and intent of this effort is to conduct Market Research for a follow-on contract to the Combined Block 8.1 Modification Effort, which was awarded to Cascade Aerospace in 2020 under a five-year contract FA8625-20-D-2016. The effort which is the subject of this Industry Day announcement consists of kit (hardware) receipt, induction, preparation, installation, quality assurance, functional checks, and return to service of a major Block Update modification to the United States Government (USG) C-130J fleet. Demonstrated abilities will consist of the full range of methods, technologies and supporting activities including, but not limited to, the following: receiving and handling of parts, repair handling, data management, configuration management responsive to kit changes over time, logistics, and overall project management/reporting – in accordance with technical and regulatory requirements.

 

Sources must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) https://www.sam.gov. If the source is an 8(a) firm, they must be certified as an 8(a) with the Small Business Administration (SBA) as well as certified on SAM.

If a formal solicitation is generated subsequent to this Industry Day event, a solicitation notice will be published. However, all answers to industry questions during the open session will be posted as “Questions and Answers (Q & A’s) to the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOps) website.
