Building Scalable Microservices with TiDB and AWS Lambda

Modern data-intensive applications, such as microservices, require an equally modern tech stack that can process ever-growing hybrid data workloads at scale without provisioning or managing servers.

Join PingCAP and AWS for an in-person workshop where you will learn about AWS Lambda, TiDB, and how to connect both technologies to build scalable, highly-available microservices while generating real-time insights into large volumes of operational data.

Attendees will explore the capabilities and benefits of developing a modern tech stack with scalable transactional data and – as a bonus – analyze that same data in real time.

During the event, we’ll briefly discuss AWS Lambda and TiDB, and then demo an application that showcases TiDB and AWS Lambda connectivity. Attendees will be given instructions and guidance on how to reproduce the demo application in their own environment.

Breakfast and Lunch will be provided. We’ll also have some free cool swag on hand for giveaway.

Who should attend:

Application developers, architects, and DBAs

What you will learn:

  • How AWS Lambda enables developers to run code without provisioning or managing servers.
  • How to connect TiDB and AWS Lambda to create a modern tech stack for data-intensive microservices.
  • What problems TiDB solves as a backend for microservice applications
  • How TiDB’s architecture specifically helps with new paradigms of online applications
