There’s still a tough road ahead when it comes to abating the nation’s foreclosure crisis. Government officials and regulators, along with lenders, servicers, and their service providers must work together to bring about economic recovery and stability in the housing market. The hard, but necessary, conversation that needs to be addressed: What are the challenges that are keeping servicers from modifying loans under HAMP? Is the program working?
