Government Cloud Computing and Data Center Conference and Expo

This event qualifies for TBD CEUs

Cloud-based services are now included in federal technology plans, and cloud-adoption within the government is moving forward.  Also moving forward is The Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative which calls for reducing the number of data centers by 39% by 2015.  Government agencies are required to make available a current list of planned and completed data center closures and consolidations each quarter, in accordance with an updated schedule (the next date for agencies to report data to GSA FDCCI PMO is August 3, 2012, and then October 26, 2012).

Those responsible for developing and implementing cloud-based solutions -- for implementing data center consolidation and other technology efficiencies -- continue to look for opportunities to learn about the best technologies, configurations, service and deployment models and appropriate mix of cloud services -- based on an organization’s requirements.

Digital Government Institute's 6th Government Cloud Computing and Data Center Conference -- which is free for government attendees -- will review the variety of platforms available, highlight the success stories being used in the federal government, and provide a roadmap of how those responsible for implementing cloud-based technologies can evaluate the options and choose the best solution for their agency.

Attend this Free Government Conference and:

  • Explore the best cloud-computing software and services for your agency
  • Review cloud-computing potential cost savings and benefits
  • Examine case studies and practical lessons learned for federal data center consolidation
  • Learn where to start adapting cloud technologies: where do you go and how fast can you get there?
  • Hear about practical uses of how cloud technologies are being used in the government today
  • Understand cloud-security issues and how to overcome them
