POLITICO's AI & Tech Summit

America’s ability to lead and champion emerging innovations in technology like generative AI will shape our industries, manufacturing base and future economy – determining the kinds of jobs and quality of life that will be open to American workers. It will be key to our national security, to our economic prosperity and to our politics.

Do we have the right policies in place to secure that future? How will the U.S. retain its status as the global tech leader, especially as other countries gain traction?

POLITICO’s Tech & AI Summit will tackle what the public and private sectors need to do to sharpen our competitive edge amidst rising global competitors and rapidly evolving disruptive technologies.

We’ll explore the most relevant discussions shaping America’s competitiveness including:

  • The debate on how to encourage breakthrough technologies like generative AI, while ensuring the appropriate guardrails are in place to reduce harm.
  • The opportunities for the U.S. to leverage its position on the world stage to instill democratic principles in tech governance policies.
  • The policies and investments to shore up the domestic infrastructure, hardware and connectivity to be more self-reliant.
  • The plans to bridge the digital divide and increase digital equity.
  • The initiative of state governments to regulate tech and how those laws can complement–or conflict–with federal efforts.
