CMS Data Summit

The mission of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is to ensure effective, up-to-date health care coverage and to promote quality care for beneficiaries. CMS also administers the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) which was established to address the health care needs of uninsured children. CMS is focused on achieving a transformed and modernized health care system through increased emphasis on responsiveness to beneficiaries and providers, and on improving the quality of care that Medicaid and Medicare beneficiaries receive. CMS plays a key role in the overall direction of the health care system and has an unparalleled opportunity to improve care and to make it more affordable for everyone.

The CMS Data Summit conference will be hosted by OIT partially virtually and partially in-person and will be open to all CMS employees. Last year, we hosted up to 900 online guests at one time. The two-day conference shall take place in two sessions, on Wednesday and Thursday, September 20th & 21st, 2023. The format will include virtual briefings from various CMS components, executive leaders, and industry leaders. In addition, the conference will have an in-person attendee component to be held at 7500 Security Blvd, Baltimore, MD.
