6th Annual Operational Medicine Symposium (OpMed) & Technology Showcase

Defense Strategies Institute’s 6th Annual Operational Medicine Symposium will bring together senior leaders from across the military, government healthcare agencies, academia, and industry to explore the optimization of military medicine through the modernization and implementation of policies, education, training, research & development, and emerging technologies to maximize warfighter health, strength, and survivability. As the United States recognizes the potential for a future high-end fight marked by mass casualties, the Operational Medicine Symposium will explore how to sustain life at the point of injury and beyond.

The 2024 Symposium will explore topics in operational medicine such as traumatic brain injuries, burn care treatment, infectious disease prevention, psychological stressors, contested logistics, tactical combat casualty care, and more. Speakers will address how the Military Health System is supporting the National Defense Strategy to prepare for large scale combat operations by ensuring a ready medical force and a medically ready force. Join over 1,000 individuals at the premier military medical event to hear medical experts, practitioners, and clinicians from across the military medical community discuss how to maximize care for the wounded and injured, including at the point of injury, en route, and in facility on land, sea, or aerospace.
