Joint Integration and Interoperability Symposium: Technical Innovation for the Future of Joint Warfighting

Presented by NDIA, including the Emerging Technologies Institute, and in association with the Hudson Institute's Center for Defense Concepts and Technology, this symposium seeks to delve into new opportunities and technical enablers of Joint Integration. The event aims to shed light on the advanced technical solutions that are redefining how the different services and Department of Defense agencies connect battlefield sensors, shooters, and networks for enhanced decision-making. The Pentagon’s ability to integrate systems from multiple services and domains into a computable form that can be used to conduct an attack is a core attribute of new operational concepts, such as JADC2, which is crucial for maintaining the U.S.’ military advantage. Key DoD and industry leaders from offices including the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) and the Military Services will share the vision and charters for the new organizations being stood up to advance joint integration, with a backdrop of a Congressional mandates and new Pentagon initiatives. Government acquisition leaders will share tangible progress being made, and industry leaders will offer new technical insights into achieving practical integration and interoperability. Speakers will discuss technical and engineering challenges to achieving interoperability between defense systems.
