IDGA News Report: Digital Government Summit

"Building a new platform to better serve the American people"

IT Governance and Information Security have never been more relevant as government leaders across the globe attempt to transition into a new age of 'digital government'.

And given the digital government roadmap released by the Obama administration on May 23, 2012, use of the ever-evolving digital platforms to serve the American people is a distinct priority. Starting this year, both federal and local governments must implement milestones to enhance their internal and external communication.

“I want us to ask ourselves every day, how are we using technology to make a real difference in people’s lives.”

- President Barack Obama

With this in mind, IDGA's Digital Government Summit will feature the first case studies of the new roadmap's implementation and challenges, as well as a virtual session for east coast delegates, demonstrations of effective, cutting-edge technology and remote live speeches from DC-based federal officials.
