BSides Knoxville
Each BSides is a peer-to-peer framework for creating events for and by members of the information security field.
The idea is to broaden the scope of discussion beyond the usual boundaries of space and time. It provides an opportunity for people to both present and engages in a small group setting that stimulates cooperation. It is a fast-paced program involving discussions, demonstrations, and participant involvement. It is the location of the next-big-thing discussions.
With a focus on hands-on workshops, demos, and engagement, BSides is a combination of invited presentations and community-driven material. The purpose of BSides is to bring together people who are enthusiastic about security and learn from one another.
Our goals are simple…
- Provide a relaxed, comfortable environment
- Present useful, interesting information
- Connect with old friends and make new ones
For the local neighborly Scruffians, you know what you’re getting into. It’s a one-day conference that runs from 9 AM to 6 PM EDT. The speaker dinner will occur at 6:30 PM, on Thursday, May 23rd, the day before the conference.
For those of you that “ain’t from ‘round here”, don’t worry. Knoxville is a friendly, if scruffy, city and BSides Knoxville has a relaxed, come-as-you-are atmosphere.
