Overcoming Obstacles in the Federal EEO Case Process: Gary Gilbert's Guidance

Discovery. Hearing preparation. Case presentation. Post-hearing briefs and appeals.

The EEO case process is long and complex, and just one overlooked detail or unanticipated development along the way can seriously damage your agency’s position – and even lead to a finding of discrimination.

Don’t let it happen to you. Get firsthand guidance on how to predict, prepare for and prevent the tough issues that arise in federal EEO case processing – straight from former EEOC Chief Administrative Judge Gary Gilbert.

An unexpected, unfavorable statement from a witness
A hole in the agency’s defense because evidence wasn’t requested in discovery
A missed EEOC decision that sets precedent for the issues at hand

Gain the knowledge you need to recognize and confidently address these and other typical stumbling blocks, as Mr. Gilbert teaches you how to:

  • Ask the right questions in discovery to make sure you’ve gathered all relevant testimony and evidence
  • Prepare witnesses for hearings so you know what they’ll say without it being considered “coaching”
  • Communicate the case theory to the AJ so the agency's position is fully represented
  • Use the EEOC’s regulations, MD-110 and other guidance to ensure proper case handling
  • Conduct relevant legal research and present it to the AJ
  • And more!

You’ll get solid training that prepares you to address more complex issues that arise down the road. Plus, you can ask Mr. Gilbert your questions during Q&A breaks!
