Instructional Series: ITAR Agreement Preparation Basics

In the latest installment of our instructional webinar series focused on the nuts and bolts of export compliance, we will address the most complex US Government export authorization, the Department of State's agreements, including the Technical Assistance Agreement (TAA), Manufacturing License Agreement (MLA) and the Warehouse and Distribution Agreement (WDA). If you are exporting technical data or providing defense services subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), this is information you need to know. Do it right and you will save time, money and aggravation. Do it wrong and you risk additional costs, lost time and customer dissatisfaction.

  • When do I need an agreement instead of a license?
  • What documents are included in an agreement submission package?
  • What are the key issues to consider when drafting an agreement?
  • Why do I need a transmittal letter?
  • What is a "DSP-5 Vehicle" and why do I need one when submitting an agreement?
  • What are some common pitfalls that can be avoided?
