U.S. Department of Energy Cyber Security Training Conference



The 31st Department of Energy (DOE) Cyber Security Training (CST) Conference provides a training-based forum for DOE Federal and Contractor personnel to share cyber security information, new technologies and to train others on cyber security topics of interest. Attendees participate from DOE Headquarters, National Labs, production facilities, research centers, power marketing administration sites, as well as Federal field locations. Job Titles include: Chief Information Officer, Associate CIO for Cyber Security, Directors, Deputies, IT Specialists, Analysts, Cyber Security Program Manager (CSPM), Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), and Information System Security Officer (ISSO)and more.

This year’s theme, "Cyber Security Innovation: Our Shared Responsibility," focuses on ensuring that DOE continues to securely accomplish their mission by knowing cyber threats and vulnerabilities and developing innovative approaches and programmatic strategies to address these threats and protect Departmental information assets. As the mission of the Department evolves and the requirements of numerous federal regulations and Departmental Directives are implemented, the DOE Cyber Security community continues to meet the challenge of protecting assets and information using cutting edge technology.

Track titles include:

• Cyber Security and New Technology in Government – Emerging Technologies
• Cyber Security Technology Solutions
• Cyber Security Incident Management
• Cyber Security Training and Awareness (including Human Capital Perspectives)
• Cyber Security Basics
• Cyber Security Performance Assurance

As in previous years, industry exhibits will be a highlight of the conference. Exhibits will open on Monday, May 17th with a reception in the exhibition area and will conclude at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 20th.
