The conduct of vitally important government conferences has come under increasing fire in the past couple of years due to a need to shrink government spending, aggravated by the malfeasance by a small minority of government employees.  While conference and travel budgets shrink, mandates to communicate with constituents has never been stronger. So are the opportunities. What does it mean?

Host and Moderator Former ABC Network News correspondent, Barbara Pinto guides us through an exploration of changes, challenges and opportunities brought about by the budget, the scandals and the expanding need for government, the private sector, and academia to communicate and collaborate.
  • The traditional conference is under attack; why and how?
  • What are the strategies for 2013 that consider budget and travel restriction?
  • Does Technology have the answers? What are the options?
  • Does virtual connectivity really work?  What do you gain and what do you lose?
