2010 AGAUS Conference: Adjutants General Association of the United States

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The Adjutants General Association of the United States, or AGAUS, is committed to a central leadership role in promoting
and supporting adequate state and national security; in promoting the efficiency of the Army and Air National Guards of
the respective states, territories and District of Columbia (referred to collectively as the "States," the "National Guard," the
"Guard", or "NG") and of the Army and Air National Guard of the United States (referred to collectively as the "National
Guard of the United States" or "NGUS"); and in facilitating and improving the administration of the foregoing National
Guard and NGUS affairs through the agencies of the Department of Defense and the several States.

The AGAUS is an association that represents the National Guard leaders from all 54 states and territories. This conference is very important because it brings together these leaders in one central location to discuss issues and share ideas. This is the only conference that is solely designed for them to meet and share ideas. Discussions are both on the state and federal level. The National Guard has a dual mission to support at the state and federal levels.
