CyberSci Summit 2013

ICF International's CyberSci Summit 2013 (formerly known as Network Science and Reconfigurable Systems for Cybersecurity—NSRSC) will present and examine the latest emerging technology applications in next generation and beyond cybersecurity solutions. The goal of this technical gathering is to provide a venue for government, industry, and academia to discuss state-of-the-art and visionary developments spanning emerging technologies to meet the evolving requirements of security in cyberspace.

An important thrust within the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) is to accelerate and automate the "data-to-decision" processes and to enhance the cognitive human performance of our cyberspace defensive and offensive warriors. Research in the areas of comprehending systems that augment human cognitive capabilities to deal with unforeseeable eventualities and to construct appropriate responses under complex conditions that haven't been encountered historically will be of interest. Research and development papers and posters are invited in areas that address intelligence, operations, algorithms, storage, energy, cloud computing architectures, and related aspects of cybersecurity. Topics related to cybersecurity may include but are not limited to:

Cybersecurity applications—forensics, intrusion detection, prevention, robustness, resilience, and offensive capabilities

Network science approaches—cloud computing and data analytics, visualization, models, and algorithms

Computational intelligence approaches—machine learning, cognitive systems, understanding systems, autonomy, Percipio systems, and neuromorphic computing

Reconfigurable architectures—embedded, trusted, self-healing, and nanoscale (memristor, magnetic, spintronics, etc.)

Energy efficiency—industrial systems, smart grid, denied environments, and space

Mobile solutions—emphasis to size/weight/area/power-cost (SWAP-C) for mobile computing solutions

Online abstract submissions will be available until March 29. Abstracts will be collected in the above categories. Event registration will open March 1
