NATO at a Crossroads: The Diplomat’s View

As BENS members prepare to embark on a high-level delegation visit to Europe, we are pleased to host a timely and thought-provoking conversation with Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt, one of America’s foremost diplomatic voices on transatlantic relations and global energy security. This event will further contextualize the shifting international landscape and evolving alliances that will shape key engagements during the upcoming trip.

Ambassador Pyatt’s insights will build on themes explored in our recent discussion with retired Lt. Gen. David J. Julazadeh, former Deputy Chief of Staff for Capability Development at NATO’s Allied Command Transformation Headquarters, and Dr. Erwan Lagadec, Associate Research Professor at George Washington University. Together, these conversations offer a strategic foundation for understanding the challenges and opportunities facing the transatlantic alliance in a rapidly changing geopolitical environment.

This hybrid event welcomes participants to join the conversation virtually or in person at the BENS office in Washington, D.C.
