2010 Department of Defense Identity Protection and Management Conference

“Identity Protection and Management Conference: Extending the Bridge to our External Partners”

The Identity Protection and Management (IPM) Conference team that consists of the DoD Public Key Infrastructure Program Management Office (DoD PKI PMO), the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), and the Biometrics Task Force (BTF), are pleased to announce the 6th Annual Identity Protection and Management (IPM) Conference to be held April 12-15, 2010, at the Minneapolis Hilton in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

This year we continue our efforts to bring our attendees one of the most energetic identity management conferences yet. The 2010 conference theme, “Extending the Bridge to our External Partners,” expresses the need to look beyond the DoD when tackling these issues.  The agenda tracks will provide opportunities to capture these important viewpoints as we look to the future.  New on this year’s agenda is Authorization Services—“How to Provide Dynamic Access Control in an Operational Environment.”  Our intent is for the conference to serve as a platform for discussions about real-world experiences and challenges, and the importance of sharing lesions learned within the DoD community, as well as learning from and sharing with our partners outside the DoD in the federal, commercial, and global communities.

Who should attend?  This conference is intended for policymakers, program managers, developers, users, and information technology and physical security professionals who work in the identity and privilege management or authorization/access control arena.  The conference also addresses the roles of federal agencies and DoD contractors, and the need for better collaboration in order to leverage industry technologies within the DoD identity management community.

This agenda will consist of four tracks that span all areas of identity management, some familiar and some new.  These tracks include: 1.    Evolution & Emerging Technologies 2.    Extending the Bridge to our External Partners3.    Implementation, Enablement and Usage (includes coalition, federal agency, and DoD contractors)4.    Working through the Issues
