Karen Browne, MBA, PMP President, KB Consulting Solutions, Inc. Karen Browne is the founder and President of KB Consulting Solutions, Inc. She has a history of contributing to the success of strategic IT projects through her project management, consulting and training and development expertise. Her teams and her clients value her ability to quickly, accurately and perceptively recognize and prioritize the critical elements needed for success in the project environment from solution technology requirements to improvements in team communications and motivation. Ms. Browne has successfully and repeatedly introduced and institutionalized project management practices into entrepreneurial technology firms contributing directly to product marketability and long term customer satisfaction. She specializes in coaching project teams in schedule driven environments in techniques and approaches for communicating solution delivery options and issues. Karen helps project managers develop their management and leadership skills as well as the traditional project management skills. She offers personal coaching and mentoring and training and development programs. Her programs are designed to teach project managers the skills that lead to project and personal success. All programs include self assessment tools to aid individuals in becoming aware of their own strengths and talents, structured, repeated practice of new behaviors, and encouragement to take newly learned behaviors back into the work environment. Topics covered include: Myers-Briggs Type, negotiation, conflict resolution, motivating a team, communicating effectively, navigating the politics in the project environment, influencing stakeholders. Ms. Browne holds a Bachelors of Art degree from Towson University, a Masters of Business Administration degree from Loyola College in Baltimore. She is certified as a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute. Ms. Browne is certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Karen has served on the Board of Directors of the Washington D.C Chapter of the Project Management Institute since 2004. She is currently serving as the Vice President of Business Services for the 2009 term.
